One on one

Private & wedding lesson hours.

These are the standing windows. In October, private and wedding lessons are available October 1, then resume October 13; no lessons run October 2–12, October 15 ends at 6 PM, and Sundays remain closed. Check the calendar or text Michael to confirm what is open.

Beginner-first by default

Pick what sounds fun. Michael will tell you where to start.

Nearly every room starts at zero, and the schedule clearly marks the occasional continuation or recap class. Michael and the Effervescent team keep the steps clear, so you are never the only one figuring it out.

Partner & Social Dance

October 19 is one final Nightclub Two-Step recap for dancers who took the earlier classes. Swing starts October 26 and continues as a six-week series through November, with Michael leading at 7 PM.

Line Dancing

Thirty people, one step, zero pressure. Find the line, fall in, follow along. By the chorus you are part of it, and you came on your own without thinking twice.

Oct 16, 23 & 30 · 7 PM · $10 drop-in or $30 punch cardLine dancing classes ›

Zumba

Dance-cardio you can fake until you feel it, and most people do by song two. No counting, no choreography to memorize, just follow the instructor and sweat with the room.

Wed 7:15 PM · Sat 9 AMZumba classes ›

Pound

Drumsticks, loud music, a full-body cardio jam. You bang it out, you miss a beat, you laugh, you keep going. Easily the most forgiving class on the calendar.

Mondays 7:15 PM

Burlesque

Confidence first, choreography second. A warm, judgment-free room built for adults who want to feel bold in their own skin. Wear what you like, move how you want.

Oct 6, 13, 20 & 27 · 6 PM

Yoga

Easy, grounding, all levels. A slower morning to stretch out and breathe. No pretzel poses required and no experience assumed, just a mat and an hour for you.

Thursdays 10 AM

PomSquad & AMPD Kickboxing

Cardio kickboxing and pom dance on select Thursdays, both pure fun and sweat. High energy, no skill bar at the door, just bring water and a willingness to laugh.

Private & Wedding Lessons

One on one, fully yours. Michael custom-cuts your song and builds the routine around your personalities and your real ability, then maps it to your wedding date.

Come solo. Come new.

Nobody in that room started knowing how.

Every person you will dance next to walked in for the first time once, on their own, a little nervous. Michael keeps it clear and easy to follow, even with thirty-plus people on the floor, and somehow makes each one feel seen. That is the part students keep writing about.

My husband and I are taking salsa group lessons at Effervescent. His directions are clear and easy to follow. With over 30 students, he makes each one of us feel seen.

Good questions

The things nervous beginners ask before the first class.

Do I need any dance experience to take a class?+
Most scheduled classes are built for total beginners. The October 19 Nightclub Two-Step class is a final recap for dancers who took the earlier classes; the six-week Swing series starts fresh October 26. Text Michael if you are unsure which room fits.
Do I need to bring a partner?+
No. Plenty of students come on their own, including to partner classes. The floor rotates so everyone gets to dance, and you will not stand on the side.
What should I wear to a class?+
Comfortable clothes you can move in and smooth-soled shoes or clean sneakers work for everything here. Bring water. There is nothing to buy before you try a class.
Can I just drop in to try one class?+
Yes. Dropping in to try a class is welcome and the easiest way to start. Text Michael the class you want so he can confirm the time, since the schedule shifts each month.
Which class should a first-timer pick?+
Pick whichever sounds the most fun. Line dancing and Zumba feel easiest to walk into solo, and the six-week Swing series starts fresh October 26. The October 19 Nightclub Two-Step class is a recap for earlier participants. Tell Michael what you are after and he will point you to the right room.
Are the classes designed for adults?+
Yes. Effervescent Studios is an adult-focused studio. Classes are designed for grown-ups who want recreational social dance and fitness, not a kids program or a competition track.
